The 44th WorldSkills Competition will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, AbuDhabi, United Arab Emirates in October 2017. The WorldSkills Competition is our flagship event, held every two years and is the biggest vocational education and skills excellence event in the world that truly reflects global industry. The Competitors represent the best of their peers and are selected from skill competitions in WorldSkills Member countries and regions.
The Competition also provides leaders in industry, government and education with the opportunity to exchange information and best practices regarding industry and professional education. New ideas and processes inspire school-aged youth to dedicate themselves to technical and technological careers and towards a better future

Sandvik Coromant is featured in the 'UK Manufacturing Review'
The UK Manufacturing Review is a 250-page book published by Sterling Media, that covers the key events, progress and challenges across the manufacturing sector. Spit into four sections – Industrial Sectors, Themes, Technologies and Countries – the second edition of the publication was recently released at the beginning of the year. We got the opportunity to contribute to it with our vision of the 2020 machine shop, cloud based machining and an interview with our Head of Digital Machining, who discusses cutting tools set for digitization.

The VarioBore is a versatile and cost-effective boring tool that improves productivity in high precision manufacturing industries such as aerospace through ease and accuracy of adjustment.
